What is a lifestyle portrait session?

Unlike traditional posed portraits, lifestyle photography focuses on genuine interaction and storytelling. It’s about capturing who you really are — your connection, your joy, and your everyday magic — in natural light and meaningful settings.

What’s included in a custom portrait session?

The Consultation

Your custom portrait session experience begins with a personalized consultation call where we will discuss what you are looking for in a portrait session to products and services you would like included. From there, we will cover choosing the perfect location to the itinerary for the photo shoot, wardrobe styling, tips for preparing for the photoshoot, and what to expect on the day of the session. You will also receive a client experience guide with all of this information in one place so you can reference it before the day of the photo session.

The Photoshoot

It’s time to shine!  During the photoshoot, I’ll guide you through candid and posed shots that are an authentic representation of your story. Never been in front of the camera or not sure how to pose? Don’t worry, I’ve got you! My goal is to make this as stress free as possible so that you can enjoy this time with your loved ones.

The Results

A gallery of beautiful, authentic imagery that can be treasured for generations to come. We offer a variety of products to showcase these moments from digital downloads to canvas prints, metal prints, and albums.

  • What is your style of photography?

    My work has been described as lifestyle photography with a mix of posed and candid shots. During a session, I love to give families time to connect and interact with each other to capture those real moments. My goal is to capture moments that help tell your family's story to be treasured for years to come.

  • How do travel fees work?

    I travel often for my work and LOVE that part of my job, so we like to make it super easy for my clients to shoot wherever they call "home." I’d be happy to provide you with a custom travel quote, but in general, my travel fees work out to be the cost of a flight, car, hotel, and per diem.

  • How are the photos delivered?

    You will receive a link to a private online gallery where you can download the high-res files and order prints and specialty products.

  • Where will my session be held?

    Together we will choose the perfect location for your session. Please note that travel or permit fees may apply depending on the location of the session.

  • What is included in each session?

    These are custom packages where we will put together a package that best fits your interests and needs. All sessions include an online gallery and a pre-session consultation to discuss location options, duration of session, and products to be included in the package, such as digital downloads, prints, and albums.

  • Are digital downloads included?

    Yes, each package includes digital downloads. The number of downloads included depends on the package purchased.

  • When will my pictures be ready?

    Your online gallery will be sent no later than three weeks after the session date.

  • Do you offer mini sessions?

    Yes! Mini sessions are offered seasonally. Join our VIP list to be the first to know when they are available!

Mini Sessions

Whether you're updating family photos, celebrating a milestone, or just want a few gorgeous shots “just because,” these 20-minute sessions are quick, fun, and full of genuine moments. These sessions are only available seasonally, so sign up for our VIP list to be the first to know when they are available!
